Love

Look around you, and you will see examples of Love...but more often than not you will see Love broken, Love left, Love perverted, Love wounded, Love forsaken, Love breaking, Love hurting, Love abandoned...
But if you seek the Lord, you will see beneath all of this Love abused...a deeper, loyal, unending, omnipresent, omniscient, ever-loving Love.
And you will be be unable to deny the greater power of this unbroken Love.
God is Love, and perhaps that is why Love is so often hard to name, to describe, to understand.
Because it is nothing apart from God. Love cannot exist outside of God.
But even though Love is such a wonderful confusing thing most times, does not mean that we cannot feel the warmth and glow of how our God loves us so dearly, and wholly, and completely, and deeply, and loyally, and unconditionally.
God is Love.
We cannot live apart from Love. We can only die.
Jesus, the only Son of God, came down to earth, for the sake of Love, to save mankind. For there is no greater Love, than to sacrifice one's self, for the sake of another.
That is why there has NEVER ever been a greater sacrifice than that which Jesus whispered quietly upon the cross...and shouts valiantly within my heart.
I was like a child lost in the woods, crying and afraid as a monstrous beast stalked me amongst the shadows of the forest. With a terrible silence, it came for me, slavering and howling without an audible sound...and in that moment I did not cry out...
...but my God did. Like an angry Father, furious at the harm to His child, God charged into the clearing and slew the beast with a mighty blow that cost Him, of his own choosing, very, very dearly.
And I have loved Him, and continue to Love Him for that saving... :)
