turns

So God's asked you to do something...and you don't want to. Why is it when God doesn't answer us exactly as we wish, we get upset with him? I'm glad God isn't as gracelessly demanding as we can be.

Maybe our prayer life should become less about getting what we want, and more about getting what God wants. We're like that kid on the playground that's supposed to take turns on the swing, but keeps stealing their "best" friend's turn.

It isn't that we take turns with God, telling each other what we want, but if we did......then yeah....we're that kid.

Don't be that kid. Ask God what he thinks. Ask him what he wants, even in moments where you desperately want to know his Will.

Don't go to God looking for answers, he IS the answer.

Seek God's Presence and a greater, growing understanding of his Will will follow.
