Limited Atonement

God desires that all be saved and Jesus did not come to condemn the world but to save it.

Still, for one to say "Christ died for all" is not the same as saying "Christ died that all might be saved."

Christ's blood does not cover the sins of those who do not accept him, or they would not go to Hell, because their sins would be covered.

Still thinking about this one.  But I think that I might be close to some sort of idea other than a mental shrug.  :)

I don't think a correct understanding of this a salvation issue, though saying so is incredibly ironic.  ;)

I think the limitations placed on atonement are placed so by scripture, drawing a line between desire and design...

...and to consider these kinds of things we should always remember this, "who are you to question God?"

  1. A line between desire and design... this is brilliant! Ultimately we must acknowledge that God is God and we are not.
