Knowing God The Father

- - How does our experience of a father influence our understanding of God as Father?

An interesting concept.  For people who didn't have a father, or had a bad father, what is it like to pray to God, who calls Himself, Father?

Take this even further and consider how other cultures interpret the role of father.

We take it for granted, our definition of "Father."

Perhaps other people need to change their understanding of what a father truly should be, with God being the perfect Father.

Perhaps we ourselves need to examine our own understanding of what it means to be or have a "Father"

--  How we define the role of father will directly impact our relationship, or lack thereof, with God.

--  Want to understand God as "Father?"  Re-form your understanding of what "Father" means by seeking to define this term in the context of what the Bible says about God.

--  An interesting thing to consider...the biblical pattern of prayer is to the Father, through the Son, in the Holy Spirit.  It is not wrong to pray to any of the 3, but this is the pattern that exists.
