Witchcraft?

For argument's sake, let's say that when you pray to a saint (so they'll pray for you) they can hear you. Isn't that communing with the spirits of the dead? Isn't that witchcraft?

I'm not saying it is...but nowhere in the bible does it say anything about praying to saints and the Transfiguration seems to point towards a singular focus on Jesus, who did say that NO ONE comes to father EXCEPT THROUGH ME. Pretty sure that casts some doubt on any saint's ability to speak to God for you.

I do remember one example of speaking with the dead...when Saul went to the witch of Endor. Yeah...that wasn't such a good idea.

Walking with the Lord is about essentials. I can go to Heaven without ever praying to a saint. It's so not an essential component of a Godly life that the bible doesn't even mention it.

And besides, isn't Jesus enough? The way...the truth...the light. Keep it clean. Keep it simple. Keep it locked on to our Savior. And let man-made religion miss the only well in the desert.
