Doubt.......Question..........test......make sure
You cannot claim to know me, if you do not know me. So for those who claim that the Resurrection was simply another miracle and not the defeat of death and the invitation to us to share in this new life, how can you claim to know Jesus? If you claim to be a Christian, but never test yourself, never study the bible, never dig deeply into the reasoning of your faith, then I would call you a liar. Or a fool.
How can you claim to know Jesus when you never spend any time with Him? We are supposed to seek to better understand God and His Son.
Put our faith to the test. Doubt it. Question it. Put it through the grinder. And do not be afraid. Our faith is a thing given to us, birthed in us, purely by God's hand and having nothing to do with our own efforts.
So make sure that the faith you claim is given to you by God and not something you came up with, or borrowed from your parents, or your pastor, or your professor or some heretical prosperity gospel preaching lunatic.
Where does your faith come from? If it comes from God, then it will stand firm against any test you put it through. But if it comes from anywhere else it will fail.
