who knows you?

We should be mindful of the lessons we can learn from the men and women in the bible, but we should not think of putting ourselves in there place. We should not merely try to imitate them. We are not David. We are not Moses. We are not Rahab. We are not Ruth. They are all imitations of God, living according to His perfect Word in an imperfect way. God is the perfect King. God is the perfect leader. God is the perfect savior. God is the perfect seeker.

And we should read the bible not to learn more about ourselves, but to learn more about God. Just as God doesn't change, if you read the bible you'll see mankind, us, making the same basic mistakes over and over and over.

So reading the bible isn't necessarily about either us or God making some big "change." Its about knowing. A deep, powerful, growing, echoing knowing. There is always more to learning about God, to experiencing the power of a life lived for and in Him. Know God.

But it isn't about who YOU know. Its about WHO knows you.

So go to the bible...pray...fellowship with your brothers and sisters in Christ...

Just to get close to God. Get close so that He knows you. And greets you someday with, "well done my good and faithful servant! :) Live in the Kingdom of God. And invite others to join you. And we'll all go to Aslan's Land someday. :) And we will be with our fierce, untamed, wild, loving, wonderful God.

Don't wait. He has been looking for you and now He has found you! He seeks you out every day and knows when you lay down and when you rise! (Psalm 139).

Don't wait. Don't waste your life. The answer is, has been and always will be God.

:)

Don't wait to take Him seriously.
