Getting all up in my business...

I've heard a lot of people say that one of the reasons why they don't like the small town atmosphere (and small churches), is that they don't want everyone knowing their business.

That's rediculous. We should be all up in each others' business. Now we shouldn't be gossipping, malicious, manipulative jerks (like a lot of those "really christian" church goers that climb up into leadership). But that's not the same as everyone knowing you and who you are, and what you do, and what you say...

We need to know each other. I hear "brothers in christ" and "sisters in christ" thrown around all the time, but we so often treat each other like aquaintances in christ, at best.

And that's just stupid.

Ask yourself...how many people in church do you spend time with outside of church? If your answer none, then you need to check yourself. And start taking your faith and faith community seriously.

Get your act together.
